I chose this picture because, unlike any of the other images, it actually provoked a pretty visceral reaction within me. It's a bit of a sketchy story but what the hell. You already know that a third party walked in as I was in the process of losing my virginity; you can know that I've tried psilocybin mushrooms before. This image reminds me of the visuals I saw at the edge of my vision everywhere I looked, and especially when I closed my eyes. Truth be told, it was quite an eye-opening experience. I had a couple of freak-out moments, which is bound to happen the first time you try something like that, but at the same time I absorbed a lot about the flimsiness of perception and the universes that lie within us all. I wouldn't say my 'third eye was squeegeed clean' (hat tip to Bill Hicks, may he rest in peace), but it was certainly pried open.
