Music for Making Sexy Time

Page history last edited by PBworks 17 years, 2 months ago

Truth be told, if there was a song that went along with my first sexual experience, it'd have to include screaming somewhere in the middle. Not because the experience itself was that bad (although it wasn't that good, either), but because it was interrupted by the screams of myself, my partner and his college roommate as he burst into the room, and then laughter as everyone else on the floor heard him hollering, "Oh my god, they are f***ing in here!" Not my finest moment, I'll admit. Anyways, he was a big Morrissey fan, so I'm almost positive that Morrissey was playing. Talk about the anti-sexy. To this day I can only handle limited doses of Morrissey or the Smiths. Thanks, Alex.

I do have a real pick, though. My very first boyfriend and I met at a school dance, and the first song we danced to was U2's 'With or Without You'. I used to put my copy of 'The Joshua Tree' on track 3 and leave it on repeat all night long so I could dream about him. (What a dork I was!) It wasn't until I was older that I realized the dysfunctional nature of the relationship described in this song, and that associating it with my sweet little puppy love was akin to a bride and groom dancing together to 'I'll Be Watching You' by the Police, a song that is really more about a man who needs a restraining order and some therapy more than it's about true love.
